- Acute symptoms for 1-2 days
- Residual symptoms resolve from 6 weeks to 3 months
- Persistent imbalance, motion intolerance and headache from not moving head
- Decreased use of vestibular sense
- Avoidance of former activities
- Decrease activity levels.
- Positive head thrust is a predictor of continued dizziness.
Positive test is saccades toward affected side.
- Can measure progress using Dizziness Handicap Inventory score
